Which cameras are compatible?

Any camera on your local network that streams in one of these formats:

MJPEG over HTTP
RTSP / RTSPS (H.264)
ONVIF, with automatic discovery and PTZ control
WebRTC (WHEP: go2rtc, Frigate, MediaMTX)

It works with Reolink, Hikvision, Dahua, TP-Link Tapo, Axis, ESP32-CAM and many more.

Does the video go through the internet?

No. IPCam Tools connects directly to each camera on your local network and never sends video or credentials to any server. Your cameras and their passwords stay on your device only.

How do I find my camera’s stream address?

If your camera supports ONVIF, use the search in IPCam Tools and the stream address is found automatically. Otherwise, pick the camera model when adding it so the port and path are filled in, then enter the IP address and credentials. RTSP usually uses port 554.
