Privacy Policy

Your cameras stay on your device

The cameras you add, including their addresses, user names and passwords, are stored only in the app's storage on your device. IPCam Tools connects directly to your cameras over your local network: their video and audio never pass through our servers or any third party. If you create a backup, it is a file that stays under your control.

Usage and crash data

To improve the app we use Google Firebase Analytics, which collects anonymous usage data such as the screens you open and your device model, and Firebase Crashlytics, which collects crash reports. This data does not include your cameras, their addresses or their images. IPCam Tools does not show ads, does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, so we never receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat with an anonymous identifier to check which purchases are active.

Connections to our service

The app downloads its version information, frequently asked questions and roadmap from api.ipcamtools.app. As with any web request, our provider Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the response; we do not use it to identify you.

Support and newsletter

If you contact us, we only use your message and email address to answer you. Diagnostic logs are only shared if you export them and send them to us yourself; they are encrypted and do not include your camera passwords. If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is managed by Beehiiv and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Permissions

IPCam Tools asks for access to your local network to find and connect to your cameras, and for permission to add photos so it can save the snapshots and clips you take. You can change these permissions at any time in your device's settings.

Service providers

We only work with providers that need this data to run the service: Apple (App Store and purchases), Google Firebase (usage statistics and crash reports), RevenueCat (purchase checks), Cloudflare (hosting of our website and service) and Beehiiv (newsletter). Each of them processes the data under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the data related to you by writing to support@ipcamtools.app. Deleting the app removes all the data it stores on your device, including your cameras.

Children's privacy

IPCam Tools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
